CARLSBAD, Calif. (AP) — Alphatec Holdings Inc. (ATEC) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $9.1 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Carlsbad, California-based company said it had net income of 53 cents. Earnings, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, came to 39 cents per share.

The medical equipment and supplies holding company posted revenue of $26.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $2.3 million, or 18 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $101.7 million.

In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, the company's shares hit $3.40. A year ago, they were trading at $3.65.
