MASON, Ohio (AP) — AtriCure Inc. (ATRC) on Thursday reported a loss of $7.2 million in its third quarter.

The Mason, Ohio-based company said it had a loss of 22 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were 24 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 22 cents per share.

The medical device maker posted revenue of $49.9 million in the period.

AtriCure expects a full-year loss of 74 cents to 69 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $198 million to $201 million.

AtriCure shares have increased 78 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $32.54, an increase of 53 percent in the last 12 months.
