SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) — Sunesis Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SNSS) on Thursday reported a loss of $6.6 million in its fourth quarter.

The South San Francisco, California-based company said it had a loss of 21 cents per share.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $35.5 million, or $1.45 per share. Revenue was reported as $669,000.

Sunesis shares have increased 90 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.01, a rise of 63 percent in the last 12 months.
