Pursuant to the “Noncoal Surface Mining Conservation and Reclamation Act” and the “Clean Streams Law “, Notice is hereby given that Advanced Disposal Services Greentree Landfill, LLC, 635 Toby Rd, Kersey, PA 15846, has made application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for a renewal of their noncoal permit #24070301 and associated NPDES permit, situated in Fox Township, Elk County, PA, and known as the Bugle Quarry. The permit includes a request to conduct blasting in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations. The permit area is 227 acres and is situated on the east side of Route 219, lying approximately 1 mile east of the intersection of Route 219 and Rt. 153.

The receiving streams for this permit are Unnamed Tributaries to Bear Run (CWF).

The permit area can be located on the Brandy Camp, PA, U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute topographic map. A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Elk County Conservation District, 300 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853.

Written comments, objections, or a request for a public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the DEP, Knox District Mining Office, White Memorial Building, P.O. Box 669, Knox, PA 16232-0669 within 30 days following the last publication date of this notice and must include the person’s name, address, telephone number, and a brief statement as to the nature of the objection(s).
