Job training center headed to Brockway

Friday, February 3, 2012

Brockway Borough Manager Laurie Wayne said the borough will receive $3 million in redevelopment assistance money from the state.
It will be used to create a regional center dedicated to providing industry-specific job training for underemployed or unemployed adults and an after-school arts-based youth development program.
The center will be located in the unoccupied area of the Parkside building on Wood Street.
The programs are from the Pittsburgh-based Manchester Bidwell Corp.
The curriculum will be based on a survey of Tri-County Area industries.
