HARVEY
Margaret E. "Marge" Hinderliter Harvey, 86, Rockton Road in DuBois, died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 13, 1925, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Loretta McMahon Hinderliter. On Aug. 14, 1948, she married George J. Harvey. He survives.
She retired from the Maple Avenue Hospital in 1985 after many years of service. She spent most of her career working in the maternity department.
She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she helped with the bereavement luncheons. She also enjoyed country music and loved any opportunity to be with her family. She was a graduate of DuBois High School.
She is survived by seven children: Susan McCarty and her husband, Richard of Mill Hall, Gregory Harvey and his wife, Marie of Winfield, Douglas Harvey and his wife, Estelle of Severn, Md., Cynthia Kunst and her husband, Arthur of Carlisle, Jeffrey Harvey and his wife, Cathi of Whippany, N.J., Pamela Samanka and her husband, John of DuBois, and Beverly Bogacki and her husband, Thomas Jr. of Reynoldsville; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters: Zita Hinderliter of DuBois, Barbara Roper and her husband, Dick of Big Flats, N.Y., and Claudia Lyle and her husband, Marty of Brockport; two brothers, Edward Hinderliter and his wife, Mitzi of Angola, N.Y., and Daniel Hinderliter and his wife, Carol of Brockway.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Mary McManus and Joanne Castiglione.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Goble Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon from the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at 11 a.m. from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Catherine East Cemetery. Memorial donations may be placed with the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
