Vina Louise Masisak, 93, East Main Street, Sykesville, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at her residence.
Born on March 24, 1918, in Sykesville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Tiano Patt. On Nov. 27, 1948, she married Frank J. Masisak. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1979.
She retired from Idea Products as a seamstress after more than 35 years of service.
She was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society.
She loved to cook and crochet.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Anne Masisak of Long Island, N.Y., and Donna J. Masisak of Sykesville; her sister, Jean Yezzi of Cincinnati, Ohio; her brother, James Patt of Cannonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers: Sam, Albert, Nuncie and Tony Patt; and three sisters: Ann Bonavita, Amelia Patt, and June Weber.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home, DuBois. A Scriptural Wake Service will be held on Wednesday evening at 7:45 p.m. from the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Sykesville with Fr. Richard Allen as celebrant. Burial will be in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery.
