John S. Seeley, 95, a guest at Laurelbrooke Landing, Brookville, formerly of Route 36 South, Brookville, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012, at McKinley Health Center, Brookville.
Born Feb. 14, 1917, in Humbland, he was a son of the late LeRoy Seeley and Eva Songer Seeley. He was married to Mabel Catherine Wolfe April 2, 1946, in DuBois. She survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served as a medic during World War II in the European Theater. He worked as a mechanic and formerly owned and operated John S. Seeley Massey-Ferguson Sales and Services in Brookville from 1952-82.
He is survived by three brothers and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters.
Friends will be received from 1-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy McConville officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Knoxdale.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
