Neil R. Marshall, 85, former resident of Luthersburg and Brockway, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, in Leesburg, Fla.
Mr. Marshall was born in Grampian to Emma and Clair Marshall who preceded him in death.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Marlin and a sister, Donna Tyler. Mr. Marshall was followed home to the Lord by a sister, Gloria Leddy on Feb. 3, 2012.
Mr. Marshall was a member of the Gideons International and a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Leesburg. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Marshall of Leesburg, Fla.; brother, Lynn (Avonelle) of Gilbert, Ariz.; brother, Orville (Mary Lou) of Luthersburg; brother, Keith of Luthersburg; brother, Bill (Donna) of DuBois; sister, Shirley (Jack) Thurstin of Curwensville; son, Mark (Kathy) Marshall of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Cynthia (Robert) Collingwood of Cottonwood, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held at the CMA Church in Leesburg on Feb. 4. A local memorial service will be held at a future date.
