John E. Brosky, 93, West Pierce Street, Carlsbad, N.M., died Jan. 30, 2012, at Lakeview Christian Home.
Born Feb. 6, 1918, in Weedville, he was a son of the late Frank and Josephine Novosat Brosky. He was married to Victoria Janet Sekula Nov. 30, 1940. She survives.
The family moved to Carlsbad in 1956. He worked as an electrician for Amax Potash and IMC, and for a time was a salesman.
He was a Gold Card member of the Knights of Columbus, a member of IBEW Union, charter member of the National Rifle Association and St. Edward Catholic Church.
He enjoyed hunting and was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by three daughters: Judith (Dennis) Macdonald, Arlington, Va., Jean (Russ) McKee, Artesia, N.M., and Jo Ann (Richard) Hedderman, The Woodlands, Texas; one son, John E. (Susan) Brosky Jr., Pryor, Okla.; two brothers, George (Yvonne) Brosky and Joe (Nadine) Brosky, both of Brockway; one sister, Anna Carney, DuBois; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Brosky and Robert Brosky.
Burial was in Carlsbad Cemetery, Carlsbad, N.M.
