Janet Lee Owen, age 56 of Port Saint Lucie passed away February 2, 2012 at Treasure Coast Hospice Fort Pierce, FL.
Mrs. Owen was born in Brookville, the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Ethel A. (Bockoras) Snyder. Twenty-eight years ago, she married Scott Owen. She moved to Port Saint Lucie from Warren in 1983.
Janet was raised and educated in Brookville and Warren and was a graduate of the Warren Are High School.
Janet was a former secretary for the Warren County Library in Warren and worked as a legal secretary in Florida. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Janet is remembered for her love of life and her great ability to overcome adversity as she struggled with her illness. She was a wonderful wife and mother, a generous friend and a great hostess.
Survivors include her husband Scott Owen and son Zachary Owen, both of Port Saint Lucie; Brother John (wife Linda) Snyder of Warren; Sister C.J. (husband Bill) Tisi of Titusville; Mother Ethel A. (Bockoras) Snyder of Titusville.
She is also survived by her aunt, Dolly Kelso of Brookville and Mary Bauer of Harrisburg, several nieces and nephews and many loving cousins and school friends who will miss her deeply.
She was predeceased by her father Clarence Snyder.
