CLARION — The 66th Annual Allegheny Toyota Autumn Leaf Festival™ committee has announced this year’s Grand Marshals for the Clarion Hospital “Tournament of Leaves” Parade are the American Legion Riders.

The American Legion Riders are a branch of the American Legion. They are known for their charitable work, having raised thousands of dollars to donate to veterans, children’s hospitals, schools, scholarships, housing and severe accidents or injury.

A chapter of the American Legion Riders, the Knox Legion Riders of Post 720 raise funds and hold fundraisers for local veterans and other service members by supplying relief to wounded veterans, such as medical expenses, equipment, furniture, and transportation expenses to and from appointments or to the hospital. They volunteer for parades, escort soldiers that are returning home, as well as fallen veteran funeral services. They have escorted the moving Vietnam wall. They collaborate with other Legion Rider Posts to expand resources to those in need.
