PUNXSUTAWNEY — Are you looking for a way to help others during this challenging time? If your answer is yes, Community Action, Inc. has an idea for you!

Community Action, Inc. is seeking volunteers in Clarion and Jefferson counties to participate in a community project making cloth face masks to be distributed to our neighbors in need. By working together to help provide face masks to others, we can promote the health and safety of our community! Everyone can contribute to this effort, “People helping People”.

How can you help? Those with sewing talents can volunteer to sew masks. If you have material taking space in your home, donate it! Community Action is accepting donations of fabric (preferably 100% cotton), elastic, hair ties, or anything else which can be used to make cloth face masks.

If making masks isn’t one of your talents, volunteers are also needed for collecting and distributing materials and completed face masks. Others can help identify neighbors in need of face masks.

Through working together – at a distance – everyone will be able to get through this crisis. Anyone who wishes to become involved in the community face mask initiative, please contact Community Action, Inc. at (814) 938-3302, ext. 203.
