There have been so many tragic events lately. Some centered around the church while others are worldly. We should not be surprised at these events because it was all foretold in the Bible. Jesus told us that things would wax worse and worse (II Timothy 3:13).
The same things that happened in the first church would also happen in the endtime church. How many different shootings have occurred in churches across our own country?
How many in foreign lands have been killed because of their belief in Jesus? In just a few years we have seen it all on TV or the Internet. Beheadings, mass graves, shootings and people being blown up, set on fire or drowned, all because of their belief in Jesus.
The Christian nation believes that the Lord Jesus Christ is the way and the truth and the life (John 14:6). No matter what, we need to hold to this truth. There is no other God but Jesus. Thou shalt have no other gods (Exodus 20:3) or serve other gods, but the Lord Jesus and Him only will we serve (Luke 4:8).
Sin entered into the world when Adam and Eve broke the first commandment. Satan tricked them into believing something that was not true. He is still doing this today. He puts fear and hate in the minds of men. This hate drives people to hurt others and can — and does — cause death.
The Word tells us that what happened in the first church would happen in the last church days. We are living this today. The recent killings in the Baptist church might have been a family problem. So why kill the innocent? Because the Church and Christian nation is under attack. If they, sinners, can control the church, they will control the world.
Be watchful and look up, for our redemption draweth nigh (Luke 21:28). All these things must happen before Jesus comes back. He told us these things. If we have eyes to see we can look at the events today and begin to pray, “even so Lord, come” (Revelation 22:20).
Remember, I am praying for you, our nation and Israel.
