PUNXSUTAWNEY — In a lot of ways, it felt like had been four weeks since the Brookville Raiders basketball team last played a game on the basketball court.

BROOKVILLE — For one team, the season-opener finally came. For the other, it might as well been after a three-week layoff following a doubleheader opener back on Dec. 11.

BROOKVILLE — For the Brookville Area High School swimming and diving team, it’s back to the pool this week as the government-mandated pause to PIAA sports ended.

STRATTANVILLE — After losing four players who played key roles in Clarion-Limestone’s 21-6 record last season, the Lions will be relying on a fairly young and inexperienced group of players in the 2021 season.

STRATTANVILLE — In these uncertain times with COVID-19 restrictions surrounding high school sports, the Clarion-Limestone Lady Lions basketball team and head coach Gus Simpson are anxious to continue to build on the foundation that was laid when he came back to coaching four years ago.

At midweek, it appears that the “Pause” mandated by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and his administration might actually play out the way it was intended.
