BROCKWAY — Sam Minich’s 4-yard run with 2:42 left in the game broke a 21-21 tie and Clarion held off a late Kane drive to avenge last year’s title game loss and win the Class 2A title in a hard-fought 28-21 victory at Varischetti Field.

BROOKVILLE — Another Brookville Raiders wrestler with high expectations headed into his senior season inked a National Letter of Intent to attend and compete next season at Clarion University.

Five athletes from Clarion-Limestone earned all-conference recognition from the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference in its fall sports announcement Monday.

KANE — Finding itself in a playoff grinder in its first trip to the postseason in 12 years, the Brookville Lady Raiders volleyball team couldn’t hang on to a late lead and were knocked out in a grueling five-set loss to Kane.

HERSHEY — Capping the high school cross country season, the Brookville girls, Raiders junior Ethan Brentham and C-L senior Andrew Forrest ran at last Saturday’s PIAA Class 1A Championships held at the Parkview Cross Country Course.

STRATTANVILLE — In a see-saw battle in the quarterfinal round of the District 9 Class A playoffs between Coudersport and Clarion-Limestone, the Falcons made enough big plays on offense while making one more stop on defense to come away with a 44-40 win.
