Redbank Valley will participate for the first time in the annual Johnson Motors Ultimate Duals at Brookville this weekend. The Bulldogs will be part of the field along with host Brookville, Reynolds, Greenville, Northern Lehigh and Line Mountain. Last Friday, Redbank Valley beat the Raiders, 47-21. ... The Clarion-Limestone Lady Lions snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 61-40 win at Rocky Grove Tuesday night. Erika Keck pulled off a triple-double performance with 14 points, 12 steals and 12 rebounds. Last week, Brookville downed C-L, 58-56, as Janelle Mescall’s layup with 11 seconds left in overtime was the game-winner. Morgan Castle led the Lady Raiders with 11 points. Keck led the Lady Lions with 20 points while Olivia Pinson scored 17 points.

Jon Guth’s basket with four seconds left helped the Brookville Raiders basketball team to a 53-51 win over Moniteau Tuesday night. The Raiders led by as many as nine points in the first half, but had to rally to beat the Warriors. Andy Blair and Guth each scored 12 points to lead the Raiders, who improved to 6-1 in the Clarion County League. … The Clarion-Limestone Lions basketball team beat North Clarion, 67-49, to get back to .500 at 5-5. Rich Kindel led the Lions with 20 points to go along with seven steals and six assists. … In Brookville YMCA City League basketball action, DeMans beat the Ice House, 81-79. Bruce Gunning led DeMans with 31 points. Scott Feldman led the Ice House with 24.

The Brookville Raiders bumped Kane for a 62-43 win in the District 9 League last Friday night. Once again, junior guard Jeff McKinley led the Raiders with 20 points while Dick Bowley finished with 14 points. The Raiders, 1-2 in league play, now host DuBois Tuesday night. … The Brookville Courtmen outgunned Johnny’s Drive-In of Cochranton, 104-96, last Saturday night on the road. The Courtmen trailed by 12 points with six minutes to go before rallying for the win. Dave Roman scored 34 points while Terry Miller finished with 26 points. Jim Racchini and Bob Beck scored 19 and 15 points respectively. Flu had limited the Courtmen to just seven players for the trip. … The Clarion-Limestone Lions won their fourth straight Clarion County League game in a 62-60 win over A-C Valley. Jerry Monrean led the Lions with 18 points while Gary Clark scored 16 points.

The top hole in the South Section cage league continued tied two ways on Friday night after the second round of games had produced first defeats for the Falls Creek Potters and Sykesville Leopards. Brookville topped the Leopards, 28-23, while Sandy’s fighting Rurales dumped Falls Creek, 28-23. That dropped Falls Creek out of first place and put Brookville up in there with Sykesville. In the win over Sykesville, Wingert led the locals with 12 points.
