Brookville Raiders wrestler Justin Moore won his 100th bout during last weekend’s Johnson Motors Ultimate Duals, decisioning Reynolds’ Tony D’Urso, 3-0. The Raiders finished 0-5 at the Duals, losing to Reynolds (67-6), Redbank Valley (41-25), Northern Lehigh (39-29), Greenville (54-18) and Line Mountain (39-21). Moore was the sixth Raider to reach 100 wins. He went 5-0 at the Duals and improved his record to 26-3. Reynolds finished a perfect 5-0 while Greenville, Northern Lehigh and Redbank Valley were 3-2. ... The Brookville Lady Raiders basketball team improved to 9-9 with a 47-33 win over DuBois Central Catholic. Brynna Hetrick led the Lady Raiders with 14 points. ... Erika Keck scored 15 points and pulled down 15 rebounds in the Clarion-Limestone Lady Lions’ 47-32 win over A-C Valley.

The inside shooting of Jon Guth and the outside bombs of Andy Blair were more than enough for the Brookville Raiders to handle Karns City in a 55-34 win Tuesday night. Blair scored 24 points while Guth finished with 17 points to lead the Raiders, who forged a four-way tie for first place in the Clarion County League at 7-2 with Karns City, Keystone and Union. … The Brookville Raiders wrestlers dropped a 42-17 decision to Titusville last Saturday. The Raiders won four bouts, just three on the mat as Brent Orr remained unbeaten in dual competition with a 1-0 win over Dale Ross at 160. Chuck Yale, who had wrestled a full six minutes three times this year, needed all six in a 10-2 major decision over Nate MacIntosh at 152. Brock Powell won a 16-2 major decision at 171.

The Brookville Raiders wrestlers battled North Clarion to a 25-25 tie last Saturday night at home. Each team won six bouts with the Raiders getting wins from Gary Emerick (pin) at 103, Haines (decision) at 120, John Crain (pin) at 127, Jere Gilligan (decision) at 133, Lenny Ferraro (decision) at 138 and Don Hughey’s match-tying pin at heavyweight. … Clarion Equipment topped Sons of Italy, 118-74, in Brookville YMCA City League Basketball action. Don Rhoades and Terry Miller led the winners with 29 points apiece. The Bankbusters beat Pinecreek, 86-75, to improve to 7-2. Rich Crooks led the Bankbusters with 35 points.

Brookville slipped into the lone lead int he scholastic cage league last Friday night when Falls Creek beat Sykesville and Brookville had no trouble beating Brockway, 55-30. The Red Raiders posted a 21-point first quarter on their way to beat last-place Brockway. Law and Warner scored 21 and 13 points respectively to pace the locals. Tuesday, the Red Raiders beat Punxsutawney, 40-38, in double overtime. Kroh led the Red Raiders with 12 points.
