School start time now under review at Union
Wednesday, January 25, 2012
RIMERSBURG - Are dark, winter mornings and small children standing at school bus stops a bad combination?
That was the question posed Thursday night by Union School Board member Terry Rush who called for the district to look into a later start time for the school day.
At the end of the Jan. 19 school board meeting, Rush said that he has noticed it is hard to see some of the smaller children who stand along the road during dark mornings.
"That's a disaster waiting to happen," he told fellow school board members.
For the complete story, see the Jan. 25 issue of The Leader-Vindicator.
