Clarion Borough appoints new council member

Wednesday, January 25, 2012

CLARION - While some municipalities like New Bethlehem Borough may have trouble even getting one volunteer to fill a vacancy on its council, Clarion Borough Council had another problem filling its vacancy - it had eight applicants.
Clarion faced its vacancy after Sue Leonard resigned in December after she was elected to a Clarion County auditor position. A special committee was appointed earlier during a tumultuous special Saturday morning meeting to review applications for the open seat.

For the complete story, see the Jan. 25 issue of The Leader-Vindicator.
