Rimersburg panel elects 2012 officers

RIMERSBURG - After some scheduling conflicts, Rimersburg Borough Council reappointed several familiar faces and added a new member to council during its Jan. 17 reorganization meeting.
At the start of the meeting, council member Lark Palm took her seat on the board, replacing former council member Gary Fowler. The board reappointed Roger Crick as board president, while Dick Confer was reappointed as vice president. Dick Kline was reappointed as council secretary.
The council also decided to maintain three committees instead of four. The sewer and water committee was eliminated. The board decided that since Crick is involved with the municipal authority, he could speak on the borough's behalf.
