Local leaders react to state budget plan

HARRISBURG - A week after Gov. Tom Corbett released his budget proposal for 2012-2013, local officials are still trying to determine just what the state's funding plan will mean for them.
But one thing appears certain: No one at the local schools, libraries, counties and other agencies are jumping for joy.
The governor's $27.14 billion proposal represents a $20 million reduction in overall state spending compared with the current fiscal year.
