Petitioners seek audit of Battaglia campaign
Wednesday, February 22, 2012
KITTANNING - Six Armstrong County residents, including the former Republican Committee treasurer who resigned in protest last month, have filed a petition with the Armstrong County Court of Common Pleas, seeking an audit of county commissioner Dave Battaglia's campaign finances.
Filed Feb. 2, the short two-page petition seeks an audit of financial reports filed in November, December and January by the "Friends of Dave Battaglia" campaign committee.
The petitioners include Randall Cloak Jr. of Kittanning, who resigned earlier this year as treasurer of the county Republican Committee after criticizing the creation of two new county positions and a hiring process he described as "deplorable."
