[L-V photo by Ron Willison] CLEARING A LITTLE RUNNING ROOM for quarterback Jake Dougherty, Redbank ValleyÕs Nick Carey lifts A-C ValleyÕs Noah Maihle (61) off the ground in a decleating block during first-quarter action in Friday nightÕs conference game won by the Bulldogs, 44-14.

NEW BETHLEHEM - Talk about not getting to the party on time, the Redbank Valley Bulldogs were very late arrivals as they didn't bother showing up until midway through the first quarter of Friday's Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Small School Division football encounter.
By that time, the visiting Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons had reeled off a great opening kickoff return to midfield, mounted a 14-play scoring drive and stunned late-to-the-party Redbank for an 8-0 lead after controlling the ball for over half of the opening period.

For the complete story and photos from the game, see the Sept. 21 issue of The Leader-Vindicator.
