RIMERSBURG - Just too much Kyle Armagost and not enough offense for Union as the Golden Knights were worn down and defeated by the Moniteau Warriors, 34-14, in a Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference inter-division contest on Thursday.
A super-sized helping of Armagost was the dagger that stabbed plenty of holes in the Union defense with the Moniteau quarterback accounting for almost 300 yards of offense as the Warriors remained unbeaten with a 6-0 record.
Keeping the ball himself, Armagost rambled for 180 yards on 33 carries and completed nine of 18 passes for 105 yards for 285 of Moniteau's 392 yards of offense in the game. Running for four touchdowns, Armagost threw for another six-pointer in steering the Warriors to the win.
