RIMERSBURG - A senior at Union High School, Brody Pollock continues to collect honors for an outstanding football season after he helped lead the Golden Knights to their first-ever appearance in the District 9 playoffs.
On the 2011 All-State Class A team announced by the Pennsylvania Sports Writers on Dec. 21, Pollock was named to the first team as a defensive back and he received the same honor on the All-WesternPAFootball.net Small School team that was recently released.
Earning first-team honors on the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference Small School Division All-Star team at both defensive back and wide receiver, Pollock collected 55 tackles, returned eight interceptions for 179 yards and forced a fumble from his position in the defensive backfield. In the last three years, the Knight DB had 174 tackles and 13 interceptions.
