MARY LOU (BOREN) COURSON, 80

Mary Lou (Boren) Courson, died Thursday, January 19, 2012, in Houston, Texas.
She was born March 8, 1931, in Perry, Iowa.
She was a caring, loving person who cherished her many friendships which she maintained throughout her life. Above all she loved her family. She kept a close relationship with her 10 brothers and sisters. She thoroughly enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Chuck and his wife, Mary Wright, Rex and his wife, Barbara Courson, Keith and his wife, Malynn Smith, Mark Courson and Brian Raymond; grandchildren, Michael Courson, Becky Battaglia, Ben Courson, Andrew Courson, Rochelle Forbes, Drew Courson, and Jesse Miller; 12 great grandchildren; brothers, Donald Boren, and Jerry Boren and his wife, Trinka; and sisters, Betty and her husband, Howard Coffin, Phyllis and her husband Chuck Elliott, Shirley Bever, JoAnn Hammond, and Virginia Boren.
She is preceded in death by a son, Todd Courson; a brother, Dean Boren; and two sisters, Ruth Hawbaker and Doris Luther.
Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. on Monday, January 23, at Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble, Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
