MARGARET B. PHILLIPS, 96

Margaret B. Phillips, 96, of Mechanicsburg, formerly of New Bethlehem, died on Monday, February 6, 2012.
Born May 27, 1915, in Sligo, she was the daughter of William and Emma Pollack Myers.
She was the loving wife of the late Donald G. Phillips for 57 years before his passing in 1997. They resided in New Bethlehem before moving to Mechanicsburg to live with their daughter and family.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Silver Springs Presbyterian Church in Mechanicsburg and the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the New Bethlehem Order of Eastern Star.
She was a church organist for 11 years at the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church and enjoyed crocheting and reading, her flower garden, and most of all, spending time with her family. She always made family celebrations memorable with her special touches and great cooking.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Shaffer and her husband, Bill, of Mechanicsburg; four grandchildren, Laura Ingelido of Levittown, Matthew Shaffer and Sharon Crane of Mechanicsburg, and April Sibbach and her husband, Jason, of Palmyra; and four great-grandchildren, Mark Ingelido, Lydia and Liam Crane, and Emma Sibbach.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Phillips Magnelli of Harrisburg, in 2009.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, at the Neill Funeral Home in Camp Hill.
A Celebration of Life service will follow at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
Friends will also be received from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 10, at the Rupert Funeral Home in New Bethlehem and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, at the New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012, at the church with the Rev. Cyndy Dixon, church pastor, and the Rev. Sarah Heppenstall, former church pastor, co-officiating.
Interment will follow in Squirrel Hill Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
