Martha Hazel (McCall) Henry, 98, of New Bethlehem, died Thursday, February 16, 2012, at her home.
Born July 3, 1913, in Curllsville, she was the daughter of John and Pearl (Weeter) McCall.
Mrs. Henry was the youngest and the last surviving of eight children.
She married James Thompson Henry on December 24, 1931. He preceded her in death in November 2000.
They resided on the Henry family homestead in Porter Township for 68 of their 69 years of marriage.
Survivors include two daughters, Charylene H. Philp and her husband, Nelson L., of Knox and Anna Marie Shaffer and her husband, Cecil, of Berwick; a son, James Connell Henry and his wife, Judy, of New Bethlehem; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death an infant son, Victor Robert Henry.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, February 19, at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, February 20, at the Leatherwood Church in New Bethlehem.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012, at the church with the Rev. Doug Henry officiating.
Interment will follow in Rimersburg Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Leatherwood Church, Clarion Forest VNA Hospice, or a charity of one's choice.
