DuBois Christian Schools

Fifth and sixth-grade students at DuBois Christian Schools recently completed a unit and lab where they studied earthquakes and their effect on building structures. Their lab challenge was to build a two-story building using a foam base, fettuccine noodles and marshmallows. The structure needed to be able to withstand 8 "earthquake shakes." Chase Kaiser (left) and Ella Shenkle (right) were able to succeeded at their task the first time. All the students enjoyed the hands on learning experience ... and the marshmallows.
