ST. MARYS — Elk County native Anita Gnan will be holding readings of her recently published children’s book, “Kibble: The Monarch Caterpillar Afraid to Get Wings,” throughout the Elk County area during October.
“Kibble: The Monarch Caterpillar Afraid to Get Wings” is a warm and humorous tale about a young, vulnerable caterpillar named Kibble who is afraid to turn into a butterfly. Inspired by an unlikely mentor, Kibble discovers the joys of getting wings, the value of friendship, and how to overcome his fear. Additional fun facts and information following the story explain metamorphosis, pollination, and the life cycle of butterflies and moths. Proceeds from book sales help restore Monarch caterpillar and butterfly habitat.
Readings will be held: today at 6 p.m. in the Johnsonburg Public Library, 520 Market St., Johnsonburg, PA 15845.
