DuBOIS — PASSAGES Inc., offered the following statement recently.

"With so many stories being shared in the media about sexual assault and harassment, it is easy to feel helpless, angry, or distressed – particularly if you are a survivor of sexual violence. You may feel like you have nowhere to turn or you may just be quietly aching for survivors. Whatever the case, you don't have to suffer alone; PASSAGES, Inc. offers totally free and confidential services to survivors of sexual violence as well as their family and friends! Looking for someone to share your story with and begin the healing process? We provide individual and group counseling in all of our offices. Want to talk more with your children about this issue, but don't know where to start? PASSAGES also offers prevention education programs designed to teach children age appropriate lessons about bodily autonomy, healthy relationships, consent, boundaries, and other important issues. It takes an entire community to support survivors and work to end sexual violence."

PASSAGES is currently accepting applications for volunteer victim advocates. For more information about their services and volunteer opportunities or to schedule an appointment, call 800-793-3620.
