Valentines to veterans

Brockway Area Junior-Senior High School art students in grades 8-12 made valentines for veterans at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona. The students and teachers in the Brockway School District participate in a variety of projects for veterans each year in conjunction with American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary members. All art students at the middle/high school created at least two Valentine’s Day cards for the veterans in the hospital. From left are: Paige Salizzoni, Devin Snyder, Melanie Oknefski (art teacher), Chelsee Krise, DeeDee Carlini (American Legion Auxiliary representative), Virginia Snyder, Jenna Buffone and Taylor Little.
