BROOKVILLE — McKinley Health Center, WRC Senior Services’ beautiful, innovatively-designed nursing and rehabilitative community, recently hired Melissa Polito, MBA, CPHQ, NHA, as the new administrator at McKinley Health Center.

Polito, a native of Brookville, comes to WRC with over 25 years’ experience in health care. She is a licensed LPN and PA Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Polito received her MBA in Organizational Development and her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Kaplan University. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).

Polito also has extensive experience facilitating and leading improvement teams and has held key roles in providing quality services to her patients and residents in acute and long-term care. She is dedicated to WRC’s new mission: We Rejoice and Celebrate Life. She looks forward to working collaboratively to help each resident improve their quality of life.

Polito stated, “I feel like I’ve come home. I began my career many years ago as a nurse at the Pennsylvania Memorial Home and then traveled through the acute and transitional health care systems and have returned to long-term care.”

McKinley Health Center offers three neighborhoods to meet the unique needs of each resident. It offers short stay rehab, comprehensive care, and memory support units. McKinley offers a state-of-the-art 2,000 square foot rehabilitation center with specialized therapy programs for pain management, wound care, fall prevention, surgery recovery, urinary incontinence, and our newest expansion, respiratory therapy. For individuals with long term health care needs, McKinley Health Center offers private and semi-private suites. The secure neighborhood of the memory support unit offers therapeutic activities to stimulate memory and independence while offering private suites designed to assure comfort, awareness, and safety.
