DuBOIS — The City of DuBois is always looking for ways to expand and bring new businesses into the area, said Manager John “Herm” Suplizio.

“The city constantly reaches out to different venues, different areas,” Suplizio said. “We always keep businesses at the forefront, and always welcome new business and industry into our area.”

That being said, Suplizio said the city is limited on the amount of ground and land that it has for new businesses.

“A lot of times, we concentrate on the businesses here, and hopefully they can expand,” he said. “We always follow leads on businesses wanting to come into our area. Redevelopment Authority Director Joe Mitchell and the authority are always looking for ways to expand and bring new businesses into our area.”

There are a couple potential prospects out there, but nothing official yet, Suplizio said.

“We are working on a few,” he said.
