BROCKWAY — Sixty-six people, both from the community and the schools, sat in chairs in the Brockway Area Elementary School Gymnasium to have their hair cut recently.

DuBOIS — Several teachers who had lost their jobs when the DuBois Area School Board closed three elementary schools at the beginning of this school year have been recalled.

Shots have been reported at a middle school in Noblesville, Indiana, according to a receptionist for the school district. One person is injured, receptionist Jackie Chatteron said Friday. It's not clear if the person was wounded by gunfire. The school, Noblesville West Middle School, is on lockdown, Chatterton said.
