DuBOIS — The Nickles Bakery Thrift Store, 709 E. DuBois Ave., is set to close its doors at 3 p.m. Friday.

It has been in business there for 18 years.

A sign hangs in the front door of the shop. Multiple calls to Nickles’ corporate headquarters in Ohio over the past several days were not returned.

However, during a phone interview on Thursday afternoon, one of its employees, Debbie, who has worked there for 18 years said the employees were not given a reason for the closure.

She added that only the store, which hires two clerks, will be closing. Its team of six drivers will stay on.
