DuBOIS — Friendship Hose Co. No. 2 was the champion of Wednesday’s ‘sink the tub’ competition at the Tannery Dam.

The event was the second part of a three-day competition among the five fire departments that is meant to build camaraderie and community pride.

Volunteer Hose Co. No. 1 came in second; Fourth Ward No. 4, third; J.E. DuBois Hose Co. No. 3, fourth; and Goodwill Hose Co. No. 5, fifth.

Today the firefighters are at DuBois Area Senior High School at 6:30 p.m. for the pre-connect contest.
