DuBOIS — The DuBois Area School Board recently approved the purchase of “court side” seat modules which cost approximately $40,000.

The new seat modules will replace the existing “Comfort Curve” seat modules and cost $39,900. They are being purchased through Hussey Seating Co. through CoSTARS.

DiLullo Transport Inc., DuBois, was also approved to provide transportation services from Hussey Seating Co. in North Berwick, Maine, to DuBois at a cost of $1,275.

The replacement is due to safety concerns brought up by the Safety Committee.

Directors also approved the proposal for Secure Cloud Computing Services from Skyward which includes a one-time fee of $1,275 and an annual fee of $2 per student ($7,302 based on current enrollment of 3,651 students).

This service includes hosting of the Skyward Student Information System within their data centers to offer a greater value of redundancy and capacity, as well as all backups and maintenance of the Skyward platform.

A master service agreement and the technical service agreement with ZITO Business for internet services to begin July 1 for a term of 60 months at a pre-E-Rate price of $1,100 per month. The current agreement for internet services with the IU-6/Affiniti will expire June 30. The new agreement with ZITO Business will provide the district with a projected net savings of approximately $8,800 per year.

The board also approved entering into a 60-month lease agreement with Advanced Office Systems for copy machines. The proposed lease includes two copy machines for the Administrative Center that will replace the three current copiers which have a lease expiring Feb. 28.

This new lease proposal will provide the district with a projected savings of approximately $10,000 per year.

The board will also enter into a 48-month lease agreement with Xerox (Way Copy Solutions) for copy machines. The proposed leases include four copy machines, one at Juniata Elementary, one at Oklahoma Elementary, one at the middle school and one at the high school, which will replace four current copiers which have expired leases. These new lease proposals will provide the district with a projected savings of approximately $1,500 per year.
