ST. MARYS — A St. Marys man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend at a West Condot Road residence on March 20.
The St. Marys Police Department charged Nicholas Francis Skok, 25, of St. Marys, with harassment, simple assault and criminal mischief.
According to the affidavit, police responded to Sheetz to meet with the victim March 20, who said she was at the 134 West Condot Road residence when her boyfriend, Skok, became upset and allegedly punched her in the stomach.
He then allegedly threw her to the floor and pinned her down, grabbing her by the ankle and causing a visible bruise. She also had a bruise on her elbow.
Following the incident, Skok was confined in the Elk County Jail before posting $5,000 bail.
Skok’s preliminary hearing was held April 9 at the office of District Judge Mark Jacob of St. Marys. His formal arraignment is scheduled for May 6.
