PATTON — State police at Ebensburg are investigating a man’s death Friday morning in a wooded area about half a mile north of the juncture of state Route 36 and Willow Lane in Clearfield Township, Cambria County.

NEW YORK — “Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli appeared in court Friday for the first time since a judge locked him up for his online antics, and the brash former pharmaceutical CEO had a new look since his bail was revoked in September: a scruffy beard that made his appearance less boyish.

Clearfield County remains under a flood watch through Sunday evening. Waves of moderate to locally heavy rain will move over the area through Sunday. Temperatures will remain at or above normal levels.

There were many Republicans who had lots of things to say about guns in the wake of a horrific high school mass-shooting tragedy in Broward County, Florida that left 17 dead. And, by the end of a noisy week in which GOP policymakers struggled to find footing and politically navigate the coordinated outrage of “we’ve-had-enough” teenagers, Florida’s very right-leaning (and National Rifle Association member) Republican Gov. Rick Scott couldn’t resist the state capital’s urge to make dramatic changes in its own gun laws. Even state Democrats couldn’t argue with it.
