Two men were hit by gunfire in New Castle Friday night, and whoever pulled the trigger is still on the loose.

The victims heard shots as they stood in front of the Keno Tobacco Shop on New Castle Avenue around 9:30, Delaware State Police said.

After realizing they'd been hit, the men got an acquaintance to drive them to Wilmington Hospital, where one man was treated and released for a graze wound and the other was admitted with a wound police say isn't life-threatening.

Police at this point don't know who fired the shots, and they're asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Troop 2 Major Crimes Unit, Detective A. Lloyd at 302.365.8411 .

Information may also be provided by calling Delaware crime stoppers at 1.800.TIP.3333 or via the internet at http://www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com
