A fire at a Wilmington fast food restaurant injured one firefighter and remained under investigation Thursday afternoon.

According to the Wilmington Fire Chief Michael Donohue, a firefighter required treatment for a leg injury after batting the commercial fire at the KFC/Taco Bell combo at 1925 Lancaster Avenue around 8:40 a.m. on January 10, 2019.

The fire reached two alarms before being extinguished, due to rapidly deteriorating conditions which led to a roof collapse.

The Wilmington Fire Marshal's Office is conducting an investigation into the cause, officials said.
