Since our area has been enjoying such warm weather recently, my wife and I decided

to take a walk on a local Rail-Trail. We chose the Wolf Run Trail and started out

from the area of Triangle Tech. After traveling under the interstate bridges, we

passed the property of George Maczaczyj and headed on down the trail. Much to our

surprise we discovered a stream of “orange water” running down the hill, under the

trail and flowing toward Wolf Run (a trout stream). We knew right away that

something must be wrong because there is no way that this polluted water should be

running in that location. A couple days later we read in the Courier that George

was at the Sandy Township Supervisors meeting complaining about the situation. We

have no idea who has caused this problem but it certainly needs to be corrected.

This pollution is affecting Maczaczyj’s property, the Rail Trail and Wolf Run.

That’s unacceptable at all levels.
