MIAMI (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says crews are responding to reports of a small plane that crashed in the Atlantic Ocean about 13 miles (21 kilometers) off the coast of Miami.

Miami television stations report a helicopter rescued one man who was in a life raft in the water just after noon on Friday.

Video footage showed the plane upside down in the water.

The Coast Guard said in a tweet that others assisting in the rescue included Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the Miami Police Department.

No additional details were immediately available.
