Elkers win 4th straight team title

Entering Saturday's District 9 Class AA Dual Meet Tournament, Ridgway's senior class had never suffered a setback in the event, and the Elkers kept that perfect record intact by claiming their fourth consecutive D-9 dual meet crown with the most lopsided win in tournament history.

Bisons nip Beavers to AAA title

The Clearfield Bisons won their second straight District 9 Class AAA Team Championship Saturday afternoon as they edged out DuBois, 28-27.
The title came down to the final bout on the card between DuBois' Matt Zimmerman and Wil Beauseigneur at 152.
