The match not only went five sets but it took the Lady Rovers two extra points to earn their victory.
Brockway (7-9) took the first set 25-20 before falling 25-19, 25-21 in the next two sets. However, the Lady Rovers rallied for a 25-13 win in the fourth set before pulling off a 17-15 come-from-behind victory in the fifth and final set.
It appeared that the Lady Beavers had things in hand in the final set, holding a 13-10 advantage, but Brockway's Emilee Ruff came up big at the service line to give Brockway a 14-13 advantage.
DuBois was able to take a 15-14 lead but a sideout to tie the game followed by two service points by Sasha Fields gave the Lady Rovers the win.
It wasn't the first time that Brockway had to battle from behind. In fact, the Lady Rovers had to overcome leads in all three of their wins.
Brockway trailed midway through the first set but went on a run at the service line behind Jordan Hrinya, Ruff, Fields and Amanda Delponte to grab the win.
Delponte was the biggest cog in the rally as she scored six points, including four straight aces, to give Brockway a 23-18 advantage.
From there, the Lady Rovers needed just a sideout and an ace from Amanda Rhed to take a 1-0 lead.
However, DuBois (9-9) didn't have the same problem in the second set as the Lady Beavers turned an early run into a huge, 16-5 lead behind a eight-point service from Taylor Fleming.
Brockway did make a run but it came up short as the Lady Beavers held on for a 25-19 win.
The two teams went back-and-forth in the third set, and were tied as late as 21-21 after a couple of service points by Fields, but DuBois came on after that behind a three-point service by Carly Wallock, which included kills by Fleming and Kayla Yohe.
But, needing just one win to put the Lady Rovers away, DuBois couldn't seal the deal.
Brockway stormed back in the fourth set, leading by as many as eight points midway through the set, before taking the 25-13 win.
Both teams had chances to put the fifth and final set away, but neither could get enough momentum to do it.
DuBois appeared to have the game in hand holding a 13-10 lead before Ruff went to the line and left with the game tied at 14-14.
DuBois' Alysha Lange gave DuBois a slight 15-14 advantage with the help of a kill from Kirsten Wilcox but Brockway was able to get the ball back and Fields made the most of it as she put down a pair of serves to give the Lady Rovers a 17-15 win.
