DuBois' Kristen Day capped her season off with the District 9 League diving championship, scoring 354 points to edge Brookville's Jamie Hays by 13 points.
Placing third was Day's teammate Kayla Bishop with 323 points while St. Marys' Maria Holm placed fourth with 282 points.
Other placewinners were Brookville's Sarah Hetrick fifth, Clearfield's Chrstie Pizzelle sixth, DuBois' Erica Syktich seventh, Brookville's Jessica Williams eighth, Clearfield's Katie Guth ninth, Shylee Konerhauser 10th, and DuBois' Katie Gore 11th.
However for Day it wasn't that easy because Hays stayed right with her.
In the first round, Day scored 6s across the board while Hays hit a couple 7s.
In the second round again both hit the high 5s and 6s, and after five rounds, Day held an eight-point lead, 180.7-172.45.
In the sixth round, both went with a two-plus difficulty and both hit the 4s and 5s in scoring, but after the semifinals, Hays closed the gap to within two points, 261.65-259-65.
In the final two rounds, Day ranged from 4-7 in the scoring while Hays turned a 3-7 score which gave Day some breathing room. In the final round, Day scored well but the difficulty was over two while Hays turned in a good score with a low difficulty which gave Day the title.
In the boys' diving, Clearfield's Steven Williams outdistanced St. Marys' Justin Huey 408.35-337.05 for the District 9 League title while William's teammate Jason Maines placed third with 271.90, and Brookville's Tucker Beatty fourth with 268.65 points.
DuBois divers Josh Reed placed seventh with 204.35 and Jimmy Westman eighth with 202.20 points.
After five rounds, two battles developed, one between Huey and Williams and one between DuBois teammates Reed and Westman.
Williams paced himself with the two-plus degree of difficulty through four of the five first five dives while Huey only went two of the first five dives which gave Williams a 35-point lead, 185.35-150.85.
However, between Westman and Reed only eight points separated the two divers after five rounds of diving.
After the next three rounds, Williams continued to outdistance Huey, building a 293.65-237.05 lead.
The big surprise for DuBois was Reed, moving up two notches, surpassing not only Westman but also Clearfield's Garrett Lauder.
However, in the final two rounds, Garrett had two good dives and edged Reed 209.55-204.35, while Westman finished with 202.20 points.
The divers will now prepare for the District 6-9 Regional tournament, to be held Friday and Saturday Penn State University's Natatorium.
Competitors in Class AAA will begin their competition at 1 p.m. Friday while Class AA will start at noon Saturday.
