DuBois accumulated nine runs on 12 hits and three walks.
On the defensive side, Carly Wallock pitched five innings giving up only four hits and one run. She was relieved by Brittany Krise in the sixth inning. Krise didn't give up a hit and only allowed two walks.
"Carly threw a great game today, and Brittany did a nice job in relief," DuBois head coach Shawn Deemer said.
After Wallock set the Lady Bisons down in order in the first inning, the Lady Beavers got on the scoreboard.
DuBois' Alysha Lange got on base quickly after she hit the ball back to pitcher Andrea Butler who failed to field it. Clearfield had 11 errors in the game.
Morgan Hanna laid down a sacrifice bunt to move Lange over to second. Lange moved to third on a passed ball and Lorianne Barbey drove her home with an infield hit to get the Beavers off to an early lead.
Wallock kept up the good pitching as she forced the first batter to fly out to center field. She walked Suzie Colesar next but made up for it by striking out the next two batters.
With one out, Kirsten Wilcox was up next and she got on base with a single, then moved to second on a Lindsay Obremski groundout.
Wilcox scored as Wallock crushed the ball deep to center field for an RBI triple to make it 2-0.
Another quick, hitless inning for Wallock sent the Lady Beavers into the bottom of the third inning looking to pad their lead.
DuBois did just that after one out as Hanna walked and advanced to second on another passed ball. This gave Barbey a chance for another RBI which she got as she singled down the third base line, bringing Hanna home.
The road got a little rough for Wallock in the top of the fourth as Owens hit a ball to Wilcox who overthrew first base for DuBois' only error of the game.
Melinda Owens then moved to second on a Butler single and both advanced a base by a Julie Colesar single.
Suzie Colesar hit a single which could have drove in the first run, but the runner was held at third and the previous baserunner was called out for interference.
Wallock forced Meghan Butler to fly out in the next at bat, but then gave up the RBI single to Courtney Morgan. Wallock quickly recovered with by striking out Moore to end the inning.
DuBois started breaking away in the bottom of the fourth as Angelo, Wilcox and Obremski reached base on three consecutive errors by Clearfield. Angelo reached home on a wild pitch and Wilcox came home on an error at second base to take a 5-1 lead.
Wallock, seemingly inaffected by the previous inning, cruised right along through the top of the fifth inning by getting out the first three Clearfield hitters.
The Beavers sealed the game up in the bottom half of the fifth as Hanna, Barbey, Angelo and Obremski all managed to reach home to make it 9-1. Barbey had one RBI in the inning and Obremski had two.
Brittany Krise came in to pitch for DuBois in the top of the sixth and seventh, ending the game easily and quickly as she didn't allow a hit and only faced eight batters.
DuBois (7-4) hosts St. Marys Wednesday.
