Mark L. Singer, 60, DuBois, was severely injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:45 p.m. Monday. Ridgway-based state police said Singer driving his 2003 Yamaha Star Motorcycle south on Route 948 when David Allen Peterson, 41, Ridgway pulled his 2006 GMC C5500 onto Route 948 from Sheeley Road into Singer's path. The front portion of the motorcycle hit the right front portion of the GMC. Singer was taken to Elk Regional Health Center, then flown to Altoona Hospital. Peterson, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured. His vehicle sustained minor damage. Investigation continues.
