Clearfield won the boys' meet, 114-71, and the girls' meet, 104-81.
Brookville honored its five seniors - Dalton Hale, Noah Hetrick, Ashley Ransel, Jamie Hays and Amanda Ruffner - prior to the meet.
Now it's on to the postseason for both schools. Thursday, the District 9 League diving competition is scheduled at DuBois Area High School starting at 6 p.m. Friday at 5:30 p.m., the swimming portion commences.
The league meet has no bearing on getting to states. That comes on March 5-6 with the District 6-9 Regional Meet at Penn State University's McCoy Natatorium where a top-two (pool events) or top-three (diving) finish earns a trip to the PIAA Championships held at Bucknell University March 18-20.
"It's a final chance for the kids who aren't going to regionals to do their best," Buck said of the league meet that includes Clearfield, DuBois, St. Marys and Bradford. "It's kind of a last shot for those kids to finish on a positive note and drop times."
Look for the DuBois girls and St. Marys boys to take home the team titles.
Buck, like coaches in all of the winter sports this year, is weary of all of the missed practice time because of the weather.
"I'm pretty happy with where things are," Buck said. "I'd be happier if there wasn't so much snow and we could actually keep a practice schedule. We had some good times tonight and some of the kids had decent time drops. We have leagues and regionals coming up and we're preparing for that."
Monday, the Lady Raiders (6-7) won six events as Sarah Hetrick and Jamie Hays each had a hand in three of the wins.
Hetrick took firsts in the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley while joining Molly Ruffner Jamie Hays and Ashley Ransel on the winning 200 medley relay. Hays also won the 50 and 100 freestyles.
Hays didn't dive against Clearfield, but she will Thursday at the league meet and it's likely that one of her top competitors will be the Lady Bisons' Jessica Shomo, a promising first-year diver that won Monday in Brookville.
The importance of Thursday's diving event is significant for Brookville, considering this will be the first 11-dive event for it this year.
"That'll help them for regionals," Buck said.
Ruffner won the 100 breaststroke and grabbed a second in the 100 butterfly. Ransel added a second in the 200 freestyle.
Kaylee Bowser was a triple-winner for the Lady Bisons, who improved to 9-3. She won the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle while swimming a leg on the winning 200 freestyle relay.
The Raiders (6-6) managed just two wins as Justin Ransel won the 50-yard freestyle and Leland Mowrey, Ryan Lingenfelter, Tucker Beatty and Eddie Slimak combined to win the 400 freestyle relay.
Slimak and Dalton Hale each turned in a pair of runner-up finishes. Slimak was second in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly while Hale finished second in the 100 breaststroke and 100 individual medley. Ransel added a second in the 100 freestyle.
Ransel, who's had a solid freshman year, also broke the 23-second barrier with a 22.99 split in the 50-yard freestyle portion of the 200 medley relay that finished second. He swam a 23.21 in the open 50.
The added depth for the Raiders this year helped the team manage a .500 season in dual meets.
"We still don't have huge numbers, but we have a lot of flexibility because the kids can swim more than one stroke," Buck said. "That helps plan with the close meets."
Kraig Peterson paced the Bisons, who improved to 10-2, with a quadruple-win night, winning the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly and swimming legs on the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
